Network for Hope (NFH) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communications Associate to help bring our organization's story to life. This role supports the development and delivery of engaging internal communications that keep employees informed, connected, and aligned with our goals. The Communications Associate will also contribute to external communications through website content, social media, and press materials. Responsibilities include writing and editing copy, creating engaging content, coordinating communication schedules, supporting creative projects, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled communicator who enjoys storytelling, collaboration, and making an impact.Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & CommunicationsCreate graphic and creative designs and draft, edit, and distribute internal communication materials, including newsletters, intranet articles, and TV digital signage under the direction of the Communications Manager. Provide input during the planning of strategic initiatives and employee engagement efforts. Write press releases, abstracts, and other submissions for external audiences and industry organizations. Contribute to communication plans that foster a connected and engaged workforce and support initiatives such as surveys, focus groups, and cultural campaigns through copywriting and creative design. Collaborate with external agencies and the Community Relations team to create engaging social media and website content and support a robust social media calendar. Platform ManagementUpdate and maintain internal communication platforms, including the intranet and TV digital signage systems. Manage communication distribution lists and assist with scheduling internal communications, including all-staff emails and external communications such as community newsletters. Ensure content across all internal communication channels, including the intranet, message boards, printed materials, and TV digital signage, remains current by scheduling, updating, and removing content as needed. Event SupportAssist with the planning and execution of internal events, including town halls, all-staff meetings, and employee celebrations. Assist with staffing outreach and education activities as needed. Brand AlignmentHelp ensure all internal communications align with Network for Hope's brand guidelines, including tone, voice, and organizational values. Maintain the organization's internal brand toolkit and support staff adherence to brand standards through the creation of graphics, icons, and other creative materials.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field required. Extensive work experience may be substituted for education requirements. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in communications, marketing, PR, or similar role (internships included). Must be familiar with common creative design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, etc.) and must be familiar with common communications platforms and software, as well as asset and content management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook strongly preferred.
