Job description

SAIC is seeking a Communications Analyst to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintain Purchase Requests tracker and submit request for approval 
  • Track item through procurement process - when item is sent for approval, approved received, purchased, and item(s) received 
  • Track Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) purchases 
  • Contact Leads regarding purchases and dates of consumption for purchased items
  • Update spreadsheet of relevant Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) Government Furnished Property module data for PIEE representative 
  • Ensure Travel Authorization Request forms have correct contract information and are edited for clarity and all travel is tracked for approval/rejection 
  • Ensure trip reports are received, have correct contract information, are edited for clarity, concise, have correct contract data, and submit 
  • Sent Monthly Status Report reminders; track submittals; compile and perform formatting and grammatical edits as needed; submit Monthly Status Reports and Trip Reports 
  • Compile Monthly Report Highlights into a singular report for the COR 
  • Update security roster with employees who worked 
  • Compile and revise Monthly Accomplishments 
  • Prepare contract projections 
  • Prepare Agendas, Meeting Minutes, Conference spreadsheets and Action Item spreadsheets 
  • Prepare newsletter submissions; abstract articles for newsletter; format newsletter and distribute to team 
  • Technical writing and editing requests as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelors and zero (0) years or more related experience 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Computer savvy 
  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft products and Data Management experience is required 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Interim Secret Clearance required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. SAIC will sponsor this process 
  • US Citizenship required

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Publishing or Editing Software experience
