Overview

This position will manage students taking online courses to include daily oversight of attendance, management of student progress. They will also serve as one of our Assistant Athletic Directors to include coaching and serving on administrative duty for evening sporting events. This is a ten (10) month position. The Online Coursework Coordinator and Assistant Athletics Director is expected to assist Hebron Christian Academy in achieving its mission. A commitment to excellence and unparalleled customer service is needed and is the expectation of all Hebron employees.

  • Bachelor's Degree in specific field of instruction or related field.
  • Experience in upper school education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Online Classroom Facilitator

  • Serve as a lead facilitator for online learners, ensuring daily oversight of attendance and managing student progress through the curriculum.
  • Help students troubleshoot technical issues, understand assignment prompts, and navigate the course interface effectively.
  • Oversee the testing environment to ensure academic integrity during quizzes, unit tests, and final exams.
  • Acting as the liaison between the student and the off-site or third-party online instructors (when applicable).
  • Attending all Late Start Wednesday meetings.
  • Assist with the Admissions Open House twice per year on a weekend.
  • ​Teach a J-term course (HS) or help facilitate Winter JAM (MS) in early January.
  • Assist in other areas as needed.

Assistant Athletics Director

  • Serve as the administrative lead for evening sporting events to ensure a safe, efficient, and professional environment for guests, officials, and athletes.
  • Help with additional tasks that keep the athletic department running as needed.
  • Coach a sports team maintaining technical excellence in your sport and maintaining commitment to excellence and unparalleled customer service that reflects Christ.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.
