Job description

Manchester Community College is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required.

We are accepting applications for instructors to teach Microbiology on campus for the Fall 2026 semester.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major study in Biological Science - Microbiology. Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Education shall require an Associate's degree in a subject area closely related to Biological Science - Microbiology..

Experience: Two years of teaching experience in Biological Science - Microbiology. or three years of business or industry experience directly related to the field of Biological Science - Microbiology.

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.

Compensation will be determined by the Vice President of Academic Affairs based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

The compensation rate for each level is as follows:

Level 1 - $850.00 per contact hour
Level 2 - $925.00per contact hour
Level 3 - $1000.00 per contact hour.
