Job description

Quattro, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking Exercise Tech / Modeling & Simulation Planners to support the JS J7 Deputy Directorate for Joint Training & Exercises (DDJTE) to assist in the mission to develop, deliver, and enable a continuum of individual, staff and collective joint training to enhance the operational effectiveness of the current and future joint force through a concept-driven, threat informed capabilities development approach.

The Modeling & Simulation (M&S) planners are critical technical expert responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of databases supporting complex M&S environments. This role requires a deep understanding of military concepts, including U.S. order of battle, force structure, weapons systems, and the intricacies of combat simulations at both entity and aggregate levels. They will translate requirements into robust and reliable database solutions.

This position is contingent on contract award.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field required.

    • Current, active Top Secret security clearance.
    • Must be able to obtain SCI eligibility.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in database engineering, with a significant focus on M&S applications.
    • Proficiency in relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

    • Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).

    • Strong data modeling and database design skills.

    • In-depth knowledge of U.S. military structure, weapons systems, and operational concepts.

    • Solid understanding of M&S principles, methodologies, and tools.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
    • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
    • Professional proficiency in English is required.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

      • Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies.

      • Experience with geospatial data management and analysis.
