Prevailance is seeking an experienced Modeling and Simulation Specialist to support the design, development, refinement, and execution of training exercise scenarios for Commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC). This role focuses on training and assessing NECC units' ability to execute their combat missions in a Major Combat Operations (MCO) environment.


The Specialist will provide support for Navy Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) and simulation training at tactical and operational levels. Responsibilities include operating and programming simulation systems such as MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS), Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), and Virtual Battle Space (VBS), among others. The goal of these exercises is to evaluate the training audience's proficiency in operational staff planning and command and control of Navy Mission Essential Tasks (NMETs). Exercises may include NECC-controlled, Fleet, Joint, or Coalition/Multi-National exercises.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and refine realistic training exercise scenarios
  • Operate and program LVC training systems, including but not limited to MTWS, JCATS, JSAF, JADOCs, OneSAF, and VBS
  • Support tactical and operational-level Navy simulation training
  • Assess NECC unit readiness through live exercises, simulations, and wargames
  • Facilitate training and assessment to ensure units demonstrate NMET capabilities and operational proficiency

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of U.S. military active-duty service with relevant experience in Navy Expeditionary Communications, synthetic training, and DoD modeling and simulation
  • Proficiency in operating and programming training simulation systems, including MTWS or similar models (JCATS, JSAF, JADOCs, OneSAF, or VBS)
  • Recent experience (within the last five years) in Navy LVC and simulation training development and execution
  • Familiarity with NECC unit warfare missions, functions, and capabilities, including Navy Mission Essential Tasks
  • Hands-on experience with expeditionary C4I systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of Navy training systems, processes, and instructional methodologies

Preferred Military Experience:
Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Naval Construction
  • Navy Expeditionary Logistics
  • Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)
  • Navy Expeditionary Security (Riverine) Operations
  • Navy Expeditionary Intelligence
  • Amphibious Operations
  • Combat Service Support
  • Expeditionary Mine Countermeasures (MCM)
  • Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP)

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred but not required

Security Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
