Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

The Remarketing Specialist is responsible for proactively remarketing existing personal insurance accounts to improve retention, pricing, coverage alignment, and overall client satisfaction. This role partners closely with Producers, Account Managers, and carriers to evaluate renewal alternatives, secure competitive terms, and present recommended options to clients. The position requires strong knowledge of Florida personal insurance products, carrier appetites, underwriting guidelines, and state‑specific regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties
  • Proactively review upcoming personal lines renewals to identify remarketing opportunities due to pricing increases, coverage gaps, underwriting changes, or client requests
  • Solicit, analyze, and compare quotes from multiple personal lines carriers, ensuring competitive pricing and appropriate coverage
  • Evaluate carrier proposals for compliance with Florida insurance regulations, underwriting guidelines, and internal quality standards
  • Collaborate with Producers and Account Managers to develop and recommend optimal renewal or replacement strategies
  • Prepare clear, client‑ready coverage comparisons, proposals, and summaries highlighting key coverage differences, limits, deductibles, and exclusions
  • Communicate effectively with insurance carriers regarding underwriting questions, revisions, binds, and policy issuance
  • Ensure timely completion of remarketing activities to meet renewal deadlines and service level expectations
  • Maintain accurate documentation within agency management systems, ensuring all remarketing activity is properly recorded
  • Support retention initiatives by identifying patterns related to pricing, carriers, or coverage structures and sharing insights with leadership
  • Adhere to all agency procedures, compliance requirements, and ethical standards related to personal insurance transactions
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner
Qualifications

Education, Training, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in personal lines insurance, including quoting, underwriting support, or account management
  • Prior experience working with multiple personal lines carriers and remarketing renewals strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of Florida personal insurance products, including homeowners, auto, flood, umbrella, and related lines
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older
License and Certification Requirements (Florida)
  • Active Florida 4‑40 Customer Representative License required or
  • Active Florida 2‑20 General Lines License preferred (or ability to obtain within a defined time period, if applicable)
  • Ability to meet all continuing education requirements as mandated by the Florida Department of Financial Services
  • Additional professional designations (e.g., ACSR, CIC, CRM) are a plus but not required
