Parts Driver – Jim Click Ford

As a Parts Driver, you’ll support daily operations by ensuring timely and accurate delivery and pickup of automotive parts while maintaining excellent customer service and professionalism.

Parts Driver Job Responsibilities

• Deliver automotive parts to customers, vendors, and other dealership locations promptly and safely
• Pick up parts, returns, and supplies from vendors and suppliers as scheduled
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation before departure and upon delivery
• Maintain delivery logs, obtain signatures, and complete required paperwork accurately
• Assist parts department staff with pulling, staging, and organizing parts for delivery
• Load and unload parts carefully to prevent damage
• Follow established delivery schedules and adapt to rush or priority requests
• Communicate with parts and service staff regarding delivery status or delays
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the company vehicle
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during all interactions
• Follow all traffic laws, dealership policies, and safety procedures

Parts Driver Qualifications

• Previous delivery, driving, or dealership experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years licensed driving experience
• Strong knowledge of local roads or ability to use GPS/navigation tools
• Ability to lift and transport parts safely (up to 50 lbs or more)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
