Position Overview:
TheLead Technology Business Systems Analyst, People Technologyis responsible forleading the design, configuration, optimization, and support of Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting (Talent Acquisition), and the connected HR technology ecosystem. This role partners closely with HR, Technology, Reporting & Analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that align with organizationalobjectives, improve employee experiences, and support strategic business initiatives.
Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 7+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience with a strong focus onCore HCM, Compensation, and Recruiting (Talent Acquisition).

  • Deepexpertisein Workday configurationandWorkday Reporting.

  • Experience with Workday data management tools, including EIBs, Advanced Loads, and data conversion activities.

  • Working knowledge of Workday Integration Framework and HCM-related integrations.

  • Experience supporting Workday releases, feature adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success working in Agile or product-based delivery environments.

  • Workday Pro Certification in Core HCM and/or Compensation is preferred.

  • Experience supporting global Workday deployments and complex organizational structures is preferred.

  • Experience with Workday modules such as Talent, Performance, Learning, Benefits, Payroll, or Time Tracking is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of HR operations, compensation programs, and recruiting processes is preferred.

  • Experience leading large-scale Workday transformation, implementation, or optimization initiatives is preferred.


Location Requirement:
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):

Workday HCM, Compensation & Recruiting Leadership

  • Lead the design, configuration, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of Workday Core HCM, Compensation, and Recruiting/Talent Acquisition solutions.

  • Serve as the functional and technical subject matter expert for Workday HCM, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition modules and related integrations.

  • Conduct complex business analysis to understand current-state processes,identifygaps, and develop scalable future-state solutions.

  • Partner closely with HR and business stakeholders to capture business requirements, defineobjectives, and translate them into Workday configuration solutions aligned with the overall HR technology roadmap.

  • Providestrategic guidance on Workday capabilities, best practices, and opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Solution Design & Configuration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technology partners, and business leaders to create detailed solution designs, impact assessments, and implementation plans.

  • Configure andmaintainWorkday business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, eligibility rules, organizations, security, and compensation frameworks.

  • Evaluate system impacts across HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Reporting, and integrations to ensure end-to-end solution integrity.

  • Lead configuration activities for Workday bi-annual releases, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop andmaintaincomprehensive design documentation, configuration specifications, process flows, and support materials.

Reporting, Analytics & Data Management

  • Partner with Reporting & Analytics teams toleverageWorkday reporting capabilities, dashboards, Advanced Reports, Discovery Boards, and in-app analytics.

  • Support HR and business leaders with data-driven insights and reporting solutions.

  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance across employee and compensation data.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve data, configuration, and system-related issuesimpactingemployees or business processes.

Workday Integrations & Ecosystem Support

  • Support integrations related to Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and downstream systems.

  • Collaborate with integration teams to assess impacts, troubleshoot issues, andvalidateend-to-end solution performance.

  • Understand andleverageWorkday Integration Framework capabilities, including EIBs, inbound/outbound integrations, and data loads.

Testing, Release & Support Management

  • Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test strategy, test case development, execution support, and defect resolution.

  • Manage break/fix activities and ensuretimelyresolution of production issues.

  • Evaluate new Workday features and recommend adoption opportunities that drive business value.

  • Ensure adherence toestablishedHR, IT, security, compliance, and governance processes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong partnerships with HR, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Technology, and business leaders.

  • Communicate configuration changes, business process impacts, and solution recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Influence HR technology strategy and contribute to the Workday product roadmap by aligning technology investments with business needs.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee and compensation information.
