Job description

Regional One Health is currently seeking a Oncology Data Analyst II. This is a a Remote / Hybrid eligible position from Memphis, TN,  Must have the following for consideration:

  • ODS-C – Active Oncology Data Specialist-Certified (ODS-C) by National Cancer Registrars (NCRA)- Required
  • At least 1 year experience of cancer registry, medical records or related experience- Required
  • Associate's Degree With the inclusion of Human Anatomy and Physiology courses- Required

A Brief Overview
Responsible for analyzing and abstracting medical information detailing the clinical assessment of the patient. Maintains the standards of cancer data management as outlined by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. On-site position with some remote work possible.
What you will do

  • Identifies and coordinates clinical data for all patients who meet the criteria for inclusion in the oncology database.
  • Abstracts patient information into the oncology database.
  • Performs follow up on assigned patients.
  • Communicates with the physicians and other healthcare professionals on previously diagnosed patients and provides historical information upon request.
  • Maintains quality and productivity standards set forth for the department.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient and department information. Understands, applies, and supports departmental/hospital policies, procedures and standards.
  • Demonstrates initiative in identifying opportunities for self-development and enhancement of professional competency.
  • Performs other job functions as needed to fulfill department goals.
  • ODS-C – Active Oncology Data Specialist-Certified (ODS-C) by National Cancer Registrars (NCRA)- Required
  • At least 1 year experience of cancer registry, medical records or related experience- Required
  • Associate's Degree With the inclusion of Human Anatomy and Physiology courses- Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field- Preferred
  • Microsoft Office products experience- Preferred
