Onboarding Tech information

What does an Onboarding Tech do?

An Onboarding Tech is responsible for setting up new employees with the technology, software, and access they need to start their jobs effectively. This role typically involves configuring hardware, installing necessary applications, creating user accounts, and providing initial technical support. Onboarding Techs also ensure that security protocols are followed and that new hires understand how to use the organization's systems and tools. Their work helps streamline the onboarding process and ensures a smooth transition for new team members.

What are some common challenges faced by Onboarding Techs during the new hire integration process?

Onboarding Techs often encounter challenges such as coordinating IT setup for multiple new hires simultaneously and ensuring that all necessary hardware, software, and access permissions are provisioned on time. They may also need to troubleshoot unexpected technical issues or compatibility problems that arise during the onboarding process. Effective communication and close collaboration with HR, IT support, and department managers are crucial to address these challenges and provide a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Onboarding Tech, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Onboarding Tech, you need a solid understanding of IT systems, troubleshooting processes, and experience with user account setup, typically supported by relevant technical certifications or an associate's degree in IT. Familiarity with enterprise software platforms such as Microsoft 365, Active Directory, ticketing systems, and onboarding management tools is essential. Strong communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills help you effectively guide new users and resolve issues quickly. These skills ensure a seamless onboarding experience for employees, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity from day one.

Director of Administration
Build the Foundation That Helps Great People Do Their Best Work
At Zanes Law Injury Lawyers we believe exceptional client service starts with exceptional people. And exceptional people perform their best when they have the right leadership, systems, resources, and support behind them.
We're looking for a Director of Administration to build and lead that foundation.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for the administrative infrastructure that keeps our firm operating at a high level every day. You'll oversee our offices, employee experience, facilities, recruiting and onboarding, technology coordination, vendors, administrative systems, and workplace operations while supporting both our U.S.-based team and our distributed global workforce.
This is not an office manager position. This is not an HR generalist position.
This is an opportunity to become one of the key leaders in one of Arizona's most innovative personal injury law firms.
If you're energized by solving problems, building systems, supporting people, and creating an organization where employees can do their very best work, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the firm's employee experience from recruitment through onboarding, ongoing support, and offboarding.
  • Manage recruiting logistics and hiring administration in partnership with department managers.
  • Oversee the administrative operations of our distributed global workforce, including recruiting, onboarding, technology coordination, communication, and support.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding workplace questions, handbook interpretation, policies, and administrative matters.
  • Support managers with employee relations, documentation, and workplace issues. Oversee the Phoenix and Tucson offices, including landlords, facilities, vendors, maintenance, and office improvements.
  • Manage office equipment, technology coordination, firm assets, and purchasing.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, subscriptions, and renewals.
  • Directly supervise two Front Office Assistants.
  • Provide executive updates on significant administrative matters and help maintain business continuity when executive leadership is unavailable.

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of leadership experience in administration, operations, HR, professional services, or law firm management. Experience hiring, onboarding, coaching, and supporting employees.
  • Experience in a non-corporate environment 50 -100 employees in size.
  • Experience managing facilities, vendors, office operations, and administrative systems. Strong employee relations and communication skills. Experience supporting both in-office and remote teams.
  • Experience with distributed global teams is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

Why Join Zanes Law Injury Lawyers?
We're intentionally building something different. We run a lean, high performance organization, we believe in high standards without unnecessary bureaucracy, empowering leaders instead of adding management layers, and investing in our people. As Director of Administration, you'll help build the operational foundation that supports the next chapter of our firm's growth.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.
Performance-based bonus opportunity tied to overcall company performance.
401K, two profit sharing plans
Health Insurance 95% company paid, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD
Full-time, in-office leadership position based in Phoenix.
Occasional same day travel to the Tucson office as business needs require.
