Job Summary:
LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer for Encode, Inc., a fully owned subsidiary. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications for lasercom systems, while collaborating with engineers and end-users to deliver functional software solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications to support lasercom system-level functions.
• Collaborate with engineers and end-users to define requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
• Develop and operate testbeds for optical communications system testing and validation.
• Create intuitive and reliable GUIs for testbed operations.
• Analyze, organize, and present complex data sets in clear and meaningful ways.
• Document software designs, workflows, and user guides to support ongoing operations and training.
• Provide training and technical support to users with varying levels of software expertise.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, or a related field, with relevant experience in optical communications testing.
• Prior experience with lasercom system-level functions.
• Hands-on experience in testbed development and operations.
• Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python, C++, and Java, with experience in parallel processing.
• Proven ability to design and implement GUIs for technical operations.
• Proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to extract insights and present results effectively.
• Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand user needs and explain software solutions clearly to colleagues from diverse technical backgrounds.
