Equipment Manufacturing company has a need for a Field Process Engineer

Open to candidates nationwide (USA). Preferred locations include:

  5. USA General (Preference near major airport)- role requires >75% traveling requirement

We are a leading equipment manufacturer for the semiconductor industry and the market leader in complex deposition processes for compound semiconductors. 

In the role of field process engineer, you are responsible for the process qualification and technical acceptance of our (MO)CVD semiconductor equipment at our customer's sites. You will also serve as a liaison between customers and all components of the company throughout the acceptance process. After technical acceptance of the semiconductor equipment, the Field Process Engineer offers support in the process optimization and maintenance of the equipment as well as the customer training on semiconductor equipment and process related topics. Finally, the position is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction while representing the interests of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement equipment (semiconductor) process recipes and process parameters according to customer specifications
  • Provide sustainable process support at selected key and strategic customers
  • Coordinate customer sample evaluations on various AIXTRON equipment located at customer sites and/or application labs
  • Define and describe equipment process performance specifications for customer applications by evaluating customer process methods, facilities, materials, patterns, measurement equipment and procedures.
  • Provide support for sales department including demonstrations and information on technical and design issues
  • Assists with the installation, technical system check, and commissioning of equipment (if necessary, worldwide)
  • Communicate with customers in order to analyze specific needs and requirements within the after sales operations

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Prefer a background in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using statistical analysis programs for gathering and analyzing process data related to equipment performance specifications.
  • Ability to write formal reports to document field activities
  • Ability to make technical presentations in front of customers
  • Ability to learn semiconductor processing to assist customers with integration
  • Must be willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 75% of the time
  • Valid driver's license required
