The annual base salary for this position ranges from $104,600.00 in our lowest geographic market to $213,700.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Running Brand Lead position is a part of the brand management team, which acts as the center of the marketing team leading and driving a strategic vision cross-functionally to connect with Nike's target consumer. In Los Angeles, the running brand management team is responsible to create and execute that vision through on the ground events, digital storytelling, and through relationships to impact the runners and communities we serve.
The Running Brand Lead will be a leader on the team responsible for driving seasonal marketing plans, which will include large-scale events, content production, and sponsorship agreements in a key global city. This role will need to be a proactive self-starter ready to dive in and lead seasonal marketing plans.
This person should embody a leader who is ready to embrace an approach that will challenge the status quo and push the Brand to new places. They should be able to think strategically and know how to effectively put plans into action and follow-through holding internal and external partners accountable. They should have a results-driven approach to their work, demonstrating an ability to lead multiple tasks while building strong working relationships across a matrixed organization.
This position will office (Hybrid 4 days a week) out of the Nike Los Angeles Headquarters (LAHQ) located in Playa Visita, CA, and report to the LA Running Brand Director.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You'll be working with a team of city, geo, and global functions within Running Brand Management to support key product marketing priorities and help define the seasonal, annual, and long-term brand plans that will serve the needs of our running consumers.
You and your team will be responsible for driving true end to end accountability for seasonal and daily consumer brand offense alongside our various functional partners. You will lead work with an end-in-mind vision and direction that's focused on brilliant execution.
The LA Running Brand Lead will:
  • Orchestrate and Lead:
    • Architect and execute seasonal marketing plans leading the internal and external teams needed to accomplish them.
    • Create strategic and long-term brand plans in partnership with the LA Running Brand Director.

  • Engage communities and relationships that matter:
    • Maintain consistent connection to our club, crew, partners, and community leaders.
    • Understand the landscape of our network and where and how to both support their connection to the brand and leverage their expertise.
    • Lead and execute sponsor/partner agreements.
    • Act as the first point of connection for all ingoing or outgoing network requests.
    • Forge new relationships through city exploration and continued community outreach.

  • Project Management:
    • Keep teams tracking toward internal and external timelines and goals; owning weekly meetings, master workback schedules and run-of-shows.
    • Develop personal and team expertise in supporting Nike tools and project management platforms: Keynote, Air Table, BOX, Slack, Beeline, Coupa, Contracts Central, Anaqua, etc.
    • Work cross-functionality within the matrix to find solutions, stay integrated, and drive efficiency.
    • Drive project recap and teardown process, tracking cumulative engagement/results to deliver insights that will inform future work.
    • Manage and track fiscal and seasonal budget allocation.
    • Be on site to execute brand plans (event, content shoot, off-site meeting, etc)
      • Note: Will require some weekend work/activations, after traditional working hours meetings or events, and potentially office days outside of M-Th anchor days

  • Act as a Consumer/Running Expert:
    • Serve as go-to expert to the team on running product, communities, and authenticity.
    • Stay alert and active in both the physical and digital local running communities.
    • Share and digest insights + key consumer shifts with key stakeholders.
    • Leverage those insights to amplify big ideas and help shape the city strategy, aligned to opportunities in the geo.
    • Recommend key marketing levers and provide input on opportunities for in-season adjustment.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • 3-5 years of work experience in marketing (digital and/or experiential) or a related field is preferred
  • Autonomous and entrepreneurial, proactive work management style
  • An understanding of media and digital platforms
  • Phenomenal relationship-building and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding task management across multiple work streams with attention to details
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, flexing between senior leadership communication and more detailed functional communication
  • Experience with public speaking and presenting work to larger groups of people
  • Knowledge of the LA market and running in general
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
