Job description

General Summary of Responsibilities:


Provide detailed and accurate communication through shift reports

· Check and monitor Work order progress through SKS and PICK

· Setup, startup/restart product changes on operating lines



SAFETY:

o Know where all E-Stops are and what they control.

o Keep the entire line clean and free of trip and slip hazards. This includes such items as; pellets, water, tubing pieces, cardboard, general debris, etc.

o Workstations are kept clean and orderly.

o Cleaning supplies/tools are kept in their designated places.

o Proper and safe use of any tool(s) that cut.

o Proper and safe usage of any and all tools.

o Proper PPE is worn at all times and in designated areas.

o Follow all company guidelines per the safety manual.


QUALITY:

o Verify that correct materials are being used in the extrusion process.

o Verify that all correct paperwork is on the line. This includes manufacturing and packaging specifications.

o Check and inspect every coil for I.D. conformance.

o Verify product conformance to the “Product Data Sheet” by preparing and retaining Q.A. samples at specified intervals per the, “How to prepare and inspect a tubing sample” work instructions.

o Verify correct labels for products being manufactured.

o Verify correct laser print.

o Stack coils neatly on pallets with the labels located correctly (as per packaging specification), and the tail in the correct direction.

o Fill in all forms completely and accurately.




PRODUCTION:

1. Quality Training (Ability to follow and review work order, product specification and quality control). Second check done by a QA personnel

2. Coiler/Reeler Operation Training –

Stage 2. Basic trouble-shooting. Ability to pick up pipe from the floor during a missed catch or event of a coiler/reeler fault (independently)

3. Fork-lift certified

4. Routine start-up/shut-down Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) under supervision

5. Ability to help assist and relieve other operators for breaks or line issues

6. Proficient on running Recoil A

7. Proficient on running Recoil B

8. Proficient on running Grinder – P1 flakes

9. Proficient on running lines 38/39, thin-walled product

10. Proficient on running line 47, heavy-walled product including w/emitters

11. Proficient on running line 9, heavy-walled product including w/emitters

12. Proficient on running line 55, tape line

13. Re-string of all Extrusion lines without supervision

14. Performed screen changes on all Extrusion lines under supervision

15. Accurately performs Quality checks and follow sample frequencies

o 16. Can answer most or all of the alarms on the lines without assistance


Minimum requirements:

· Able to stand for long periods

· Able to lift 60lbs. overhead

· Minor Mechanical knowledge

· Read and speak English fluently

· Basic math

Preferred Requirements:

· Previous mechanical experience

· Previous manufacturing experience

· Safety conscious
