The Ramp Manageris responsible foroverseeing all ramp operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, andtimelyhandling ofaircrafton the ground. This role involves managing ramp teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with aviation safety and operational standards.

JobResponsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise ramp operations, includingaircraftarrival, departure, and turnaround activities.
  • Oversee the team of ramp agents, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate the use of ground support equipment, ensuring all equipment is properlymaintainedand utilized.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Communicate with flight crews, ground operations, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and present reports on ramp operations, safety audits, and staffing requirements.

  • Cooperate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform orcomply withany legal requirements imposed on the company.

  • Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity thatrepresentsa serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety, and security.
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in company and carrier Safety and Security procedures.
  • Carry out workin accordance withinformation and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.
  • Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able tolift upto 70 pounds in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push and pull for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in ground handling or aviation operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ramp operations, aviation safety protocols, and ground support equipment.

Alliance Ground International provides airline cargo handling services to 55 airlines at thirteen airports: Atlanta, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Kansas City, LaGuardia, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York JFK, Orlando, Salt Lake City and San Francisco. Warehouse and ramp operations schedules are constantly adjusted to flight operations. Adjustments are made monthly, weekly, and in many cases, hourly.
