Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on pregnant women to assess the health and development of the fetus
  • Thoroughly analyzes the information or previous test results to clarify the information requested by the ultrasound examination.
  • Confidently selects the suitable equipment to produce the best quality exam, i.e. which machine to use, as well as proper selection of transducer array and frequency.
  • Expertise in using ultrasound technology will play a crucial role in providing accurate and detailed images, aiding in the diagnosis and management of high-risk pregnancies.
  • Perform ultrasound examinations on pregnant women to evaluate fetal growth, anatomy, and well-being.
  • Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment and techniques to obtain high-quality images.
  • Assess and document fetal abnormalities, anomalies, and potential complications.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound findings and provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ultrasound examinations

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Certificate from accredited sonography program or graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography program accredited by the AMA committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
