Property Technology Manager

Otonomus Hotel Las Vegas | Las Vegas, NV

Position Summary

Otonomus Hotel is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Property Technology Manager to oversee all technology operations across the property. This position serves as the primary on-site technology leader, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all hotel technology systems while delivering an exceptional experience for both guests and team members.

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Technology, the Property Technology Manager will be responsible for technology operations, cybersecurity compliance, budgeting, capital planning, vendor management, project implementation, and coordination with corporate IT initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with hospitality technology experience and a passion for innovation.


Essential ResponsibilitiesTechnology Operations
  • Manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and support of all property technology systems.
  • Ensure maximum uptime and performance of all hotel technology infrastructure.
  • Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution of technology issues affecting guests or operations.
  • Establish preventative maintenance schedules and system health monitoring.
Hotel Systems Support

Oversee the administration, maintenance, and support of:

  • Property Management System (PMS)
  • Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Guest Wi-Fi
  • Residential Internet services
  • Electronic Access Control systems
  • CCTV and surveillance systems
  • Audio/Visual (AV) systems
  • Building technology and smart building platforms
  • Network infrastructure

Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies and industry best practices.
  • Monitor security vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Assist with cybersecurity awareness training for hotel staff.
  • Support security audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Corporate IT on patch management and security updates.
Budget & Capital Planning
  • Develop and manage the annual technology operating budget.
  • Assist in creating multi-year capital improvement plans.
  • Monitor technology expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Evaluate technology investments and recommend system upgrades.
Vendor Management
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and contractors.
  • Negotiate service agreements and monitor vendor performance.
  • Coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Ensure vendors meet service-level expectations and project timelines.
Technology Projects
  • Lead on-property technology implementations and upgrades.
  • Coordinate new system deployments with Corporate IT.
  • Manage project timelines, testing, training, and go-live support.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
  • Maintain property disaster recovery procedures.
  • Coordinate technology recovery planning.
  • Participate in business continuity planning.
  • Ensure critical systems have appropriate backup and recovery procedures.
Corporate Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the property and Corporate IT.
  • Support enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Participate in technology planning meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with company technology standards.

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Hospitality Technology, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive IT experience, preferably within hospitality.
  • Experience supporting hotel technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of networking, Windows environments, cloud technologies, and infrastructure.
  • Experience managing technology vendors and third-party service providers.
  • Experience managing multiple technology projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when operational needs require.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to critical system outages.
