What is the Opportunity?

The Senior Cloud Engineer will lead and execute medium to high complexity projects, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions that align with organizational objectives and controls. The scope will include the operational support and management of the enterprise cloud toolset, and the public cloud hosted infrastructure. The individual ensures the delivery of impactful results throughout the lifecycle of the project in partnership with cross functional teams

What will you do?

  • Design and deploy Azure and AWS server, serverless, and containerized Kubernetes infrastructure leveraging Infrastructure as Code native tools
  • Enforces standards and controls for security, resiliency, scalability, conducting validation and rigorous testing to ensure optimal functionality
  • Mentor junior team members by guiding technical approaches, resolving escalated issues, and fostering knowledge sharing to enhance team capabilities
  • Collaborate amongst cross functional teams to gather requirements, provide expertise, and deliver solutions that address challenges and improve efficiency
  • Drives decisions on issues requiring innovative thinking and technical expertise, providing recommendations that influence own team and across rother work areas
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of engineering policies, procedures, and runbooks
  • Innovation of the DevOps practice through focused consumption of new technologies and industry trends
  • Serve in an on-call rotation and operate as an escalation point in the Cloud Engineering Team, participate in support off-hours deployments and critical operational requests

What do you need to succeed:

Must have:

  • Advanced experience in administration, engineering, of (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) cloud native technologies and hosted cloud services (Azure, AWS)
  • Advanced experience in automation (Terraform), scripting (PowerShell) and CI/CD development pipelines (GitHub, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD)
  • Advanced experience in administering, engineering, and implementing container solutions (Kubernetes, AKS)
  • Advanced understanding of cloud networking technologies
  • Experience working in Scrum and Kanban methodologies (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with design, engineering, and operations of AWS services (would no longer be a must have, but more aligned with a nice to have)
  • Experience with Azure Entra ID, IAM and cloud native identities, and role-based access controls
  • Experience with design and implementing cloud security controls
