Registered Nurse - Home Care

Blaine, MN

Part-time

Job description

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Home Helpers Home Care of Blaine is a newly established, locally owned home care agency with big plans and a genuine commitment to doing things right from the start. We're building something meaningful here — a care agency rooted in the community, focused on keeping clients safe and independent at home, and dedicated to the people who make that possible.

We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join us at the ground floor. This role starts part-time with variable hours tied to our client census — we won't promise hours we don't have. What we will promise is this: as we grow, so does your role. The nurse who joins us now is the nurse who shapes how clinical care looks at this agency — and who grows into a senior clinical leadership position as we scale.

If you're a nurse who wants flexibility, values autonomy, and is energized by being part of something being built — not just maintained — we'd love to talk.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments in the home to determine care needs, risks, and service eligibility
  • Develop, update, and oversee individualized care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and care staff
  • Provide clinical oversight and supervision of home health aides and caregivers, ensuring care is delivered safely and according to plan
  • Lead hands-on training for caregiving staff on clinical skills, safety protocols, infection control, and agency procedures
  • Review and audit caregiver documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff when questions or concerns arise in the field
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and help establish clinical policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with Minnesota home care regulations and HIPAA requirements
  • Coordinate with clients' physicians, discharge planners, and other healthcare providers as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota — required
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience — home care, long-term care, or community health experience strongly preferred
  • Strong assessment skills and comfort working independently in client homes
  • Experience developing or implementing care plans
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, families, and care staff
  • Comfort working in a startup environment where processes are still being built
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Familiarity with Minnesota home care regulations is a plus

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive hourly rate: $37.40- 45.04/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Flexible scheduling — hours built around your availability
  • Autonomy to do your best clinical work without layers of bureaucracy
  • A genuine seat at the table: your clinical expertise will directly shape how this agency operates
  • Clear pathway to a senior clinical role as the agency grows
  • A leadership team that respects nurses and treats them as the backbone of quality care — because they are

A NOTE ON HOURS

We believe in being upfront: this is a part-time, variable-hour position. Hours will grow as our client base grows, and we're actively building that census now. This role is an excellent fit for a nurse seeking flexible supplemental income alongside other work, a semi-retired RN who wants to stay clinically active, or a nurse who wants to get in early with a growing agency.

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • Paid time off

Work Location: In person
