Dignity Home Health & Hospice is growing and seeking a dependable On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients and families during after-hours care. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse who values thoughtful, patient-centered care and works well independently while staying connected to a supportive team.

Position Details
  • Job Type: Part-Time, On-Call
  • Work Location: Multiple locations throughout Utah County
  • Looking to fill up to 2 weekends a mounth
  • After-hours coverage Friday 5:00 p.m. to Monday 7:55 a.m.

Role Overview
The On-Call RN provides clinical assessment, guidance, and in-person care during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. You will serve as a key point of support for patients, families, and care partners outside of regular business hours.


Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to after-hours patient needs with in-person visits and through phone triage
  • Assess patients in their place of residence, including private homes, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities
  • Provide clear guidance and reassurance to patients, families, and facility staff
  • Complete after-hours admissions as needed
  • Document care accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care

Qualifications
  • 1+ year of home health and/or hospice experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Reliable, calm, and professional in urgent or unfamiliar situations
  • Respectful, patient-focused approach to care
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records
  • Reliable transportation

Licensure & Certifications
  • Active Utah Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
  • Current CPR certification (required)
  • Valid Utah driver’s license with current auto insurance
