Hound Ears Club is a scenic, member-owned private club and mountain community located in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Boone, North Carolina. Established in 1964, the Club is known for its casual elegance, authentic charm, and vibrant community atmosphere, offering members a wide range of amenities including championship golf, racquet sports, swimming, fitness, hiking, dining, and a robust calendar of social events designed to enrich lifestyle and connection.

About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and customer-focused Communications Assistant to support our Membership & Marketing Director at Hound Ears Club. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hospitality, communications, and helping create exceptional member experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with membership inquiries, tours, onboarding, and member communications
  • Support marketing efforts: social media, newsletters, website updates, graphics, and event promotions
  • Help with event photography, video updates and capturing content around the Club
  • Maintain accurate lead records and administrative documents
  • Provide friendly, professional service to members and prospective members

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years experience in hospitality, customer service, marketing, or admin roles
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Comfortable with social media and basic design tools (Canva/Adobe), and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Highly organized, proactive, and professional
  • Team player with a positive attitude and interest in club culture
  • Able to be on call to alternate membership tour responsibilities, including staying late and being available on some Saturdays when needed
