Job Description About the Role Pinnacle Partners is recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor on behalf of a client in New Albany, Indiana. We are seeking an experienced maintenance leader with a strong background working on automated manufacturing equipment. This role will lead approximately 20 maintenance technicians supporting multiple shifts while partnering closely with Engineering and Production to troubleshoot equipment, improve processes, and drive projects to completion.

Key Responsibilities: Lead approximately 20 maintenance technicians supporting day and night shifts. Coordinate technician schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for manufacturing operations. Manage hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, employee development, discipline, and termination when necessary.

Hold technicians accountable while maintaining a collaborative and hands-on leadership style. Work closely with Engineering and Production to troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing issues. Communicate technical problems effectively to Engineering and push projects and solutions through completion.

Coordinate projects involving existing machinery to improve quality, throughput, reliability, and safety. Oversee the preventative maintenance program and evaluate PM effectiveness. Drive maintenance process improvements, documentation, standardization, and consistency.

Help transition the maintenance department away from tribal knowledge and reactive firefighting toward structured, repeatable processes. Participate in production meetings and cross-functional initiatives. Ensure technicians have the tools, supplies, equipment, and resources needed to perform their work.

Support safety initiatives involving automation and manufacturing equipment. Work with Engineering on tooling, machinery, new projects, and new products. Provide occasional early, late, or on-call support when manufacturing issues arise.

Maintain a visible presence on the manufacturing floor while also focusing on long-term department improvements. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a technician on automated machines in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience leading or supervising maintenance or technical personnel.

Strong mechanical and automated manufacturing background. Experience working directly with Engineering teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to hold employees accountable and handle difficult performance conversations. Ability to understand technical issues from technicians and communicate them effectively to Engineering.

Comfortable working in a highly precise manufacturing environment. Ability to stand and sit for extended periods and meet physical requirements of the role. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

from floor to waist and meet applicable vision requirements. PLC programming experience is not required; the environment is primarily servo-, cam-, and motion-control based. Preferred: 3-5+ years of leadership experience with teams of 10 or more employees.

Experience leading technicians across multiple shifts. Experience with servo systems and motion control. Robotics experience.

Vision systems and sensors experience. Precision manufacturing experience. Machine tool, machining, grinding, tooling, or tool and die experience.

Machinist or Journeyman Toolmaker education or certification. Experience working with sub-.001" adjustments or precision equipment. Experience improving preventative maintenance programs

Data analytics and continuous improvement experience. Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs. Experience working with equipment designed and built in-house.

Engineering degree or technical degree. Experience working in a highly automated, precision manufacturing environment. Benefits Overview: Competitive base salary of approximately $100,000-$110,000.

Monday-Friday first-shift schedule, generally 7:00 AM-4:30 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Approximately 5 weeks of PTO. 401(k).
