Job description


Summary:
The sewer cleaning technician operates a combination jet/vacuum truck to perform storm and sanitary sewer cleaning operations. This includes pipe jetting, catch basin cleaning, lift station cleaning and other various vacuum services. The technician agrees to be in the after-hours on-
call rotation as we provide sewer cleaning services to our customers in emergency situations after hours normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Jet/Vacuum truck and related equipment to clean storm and sanitary sewers

  • Assist field staff and operators in a variety of duties

  • Assist with maintenance and operation of various pieces of equipment in the field and at our shop

  • Provide assistance and willingness to learn in other areas as needed

  • Other duties as assigned


Work Environment:

  • Working in a variety of weather conditions

  • Overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays

  • Located in Byron Center, MI, no remote work available

  • Full-time position with room for advancement


Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license with Class B, required

  • Tanker endorsement, required/ability to obtain

  • Clean driving record, required

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, required (THC not allowed)

  • Valid DOT Medical Certificate, required

  • Able to lift 30 pounds

  • Provide excellent customer service when dealing with clients and co-workers

  • Occasional overnight/week flexibility if needed
