Geotechnical Engineer
ASR International Corporation Location: Puget Sound - Bremerton Area, WA Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary: ASR International Corporation is seeking Geotechnical Engineers to provide Design Technical Support services for NAVFAC Northwest. The Geotechnical Engineer will support design and construction projects involving foundations, retaining structures, and waterfront facilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform office and field consultation/monitoring of design and construction projects involving building foundations, retaining structures, utility structures, and waterfront structures (piers, dry docks, wharves, etc.).
  • Review geotechnical reports, designs, calculations, and construction submittals for compliance with DoD UFC, IBC, ASCE 7, and project requirements.
  • Provide technical recommendations on foundation systems, soil conditions, and related issues.
  • Coordinate with structural, civil, and other discipline engineers.
  • Prepare technical reports, observations, and recommendations.
  • Support project status reporting and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required (Green Card holders are not eligible to apply).
  • Must be able to pass a T1 security background check.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant design or design management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of geotechnical principles applicable to buildings and waterfront structures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Experience with NAVFAC or DoD waterfront/geotechnical projects.
