WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Hayssen Machine Operator - Specific Requirements:• 2+ year experience operating, setting up, or troubleshooting Hayssen (or similar) Vertical Form-Fill-Seal (VFFS) packaging equipment preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Working knowledge of film feed and tracking, registration/print mark sensing, forming sets, sealing jaw alignment, and bag length control.
• Ability to change over packaging formats (bag size, rollstock/film, forming tube/shoulder, code/date printer settings) and verify first-article quality.
• Ability to diagnose and respond to common faults (film break, seal defects, product bridging, inconsistent weights, miss registration) and escalate as needed.
• Comfortable using HMI/touchscreen controls to start/stop equipment, adjust parameters within authorized limits, and document downtime/events.
• Basic mechanical aptitude; able to safely use hand tools for routine adjustments (guarding, guides, sensors, belts) in accordance with safety policy.
• Willingness to work overtime and/or flexible schedules as production needs require.
