Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Chaplain to join our team. This PRN role will predominately provide support during night shifts and weekends. Must be able to arrive on-site to our Inova Health Hospitals within 45 minutes for on-call arrival time purposes.

Chaplain Job Responsibilities:

The Chaplain PRN assists the Spiritual Care team in supporting an interdisciplinary approach to patient care among nursing, medical, and volunteer chaplain staff. Participates in delivering and/or arranging for effective and appropriate spiritual care support to patients, their loved ones, and staff in assigned areas.

  • Provides timely and effective spiritual care support to patients, their loved ones, and team members from diverse cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Collaborates as a chaplain team member and follows departmental policies and protocols.
  • Provides spiritual care support to end-of-life situations and emergencies.
  • Flexible with availability for on-call hours with expectations for holidays and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Work Schedule: PRN. Must be able to arrive on-site to our Inova Health Hospitals within 45 minutes for on-call arrival time purposes.
  • Education: Master's Degree in religious or theological pastoral studies; 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from an ACPE accredited site.
