Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of labor experience and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.

Details
  • Work in a 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit within a hospital setting
  • Care for laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and newborn patients
  • Perform and support vaginal deliveries and C-sections
  • Patient ratios are approximately 1:1 for labor, 5-6:1 for postpartum, and 5-6:1 for nursery
  • Uses GE fetal monitors
  • Charts in Meditech and CPN EMR systems
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment
  • Required to work on-call approximately every third weekend, with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule
Requirements
  • Active RN license (VA or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
  • At least 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience required
  • Experience in an LDRP setting with high birth volumes preferred
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Provide direct patient care for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients
  • Must wear navy blue scrubs; Maternal Infant Unit nurses wear pink badges for infant security
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • First-time travelers may be considered
