JOB PURPOSE / POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, from pre-construction planning through final completion. You will oversee scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, subcontractor coordination, and client relations while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Your leadership will drive efficiency, innovation, and the overall success of multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects.

SITE / TEAM OVERVIEW
At Omni Electric, we don't just build infrastructure-we power the future. As a leading transportation and dry utilities contractor, we specialize in delivering complex projects with precision, efficiency, and safety. We are looking for a results-driven Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of transportation and dry utility projects.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Leadership & Execution
  • Manage project lifecycle from pre-construction through final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path activities and proactively mitigating delays.
  • Monitor project budgets, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for value engineering.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review and interpret contract documents, ensuring compliance with project scope, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges to maintain progress and efficiency.

Team & Resource Management
  • Assist and mentor project teams, including Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews.
  • Ensure optimal allocation of labor, equipment, and materials to meet project demands.
  • Work closely with estimating teams to develop competitive bids and project proposals.

Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance across all job sites.
  • Implement and uphold quality control standards, ensuring all work meets company and regulatory specifications.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections, addressing issues before they impact progress.

Financial & Reporting Responsibilities
  • Track and report project financials, including cost projections, change orders, and progress payments.
  • Prepare and submit project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and closeout reports.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and ensuring expectations are met.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (KSA's, Education, YOE)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil, utility, or infrastructure construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling software (P6, Microsoft Project) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of government regulations, permitting, and compliance in construction

.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in dry utilities, underground electrical infrastructure, or highway construction.
  • PMP Certification or other project management credentials.
  • Experience using Bluebeam, Procore, P6 and similar construction management software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS (environment, noise level, public interactions)
  • Office working environment with occasional travel to job sites
  • Frequent use of telephone, computer, email, and other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external clients, trade partners, or vendors.
  • Lift, push or pull objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of shift/work day.
  • Ability to wear required PPE on job sites.
  • Job site visits require ability to maneuver around uneven terrain, large equipment, stairs.
