The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is currently accepting applications for aย Varsity Softballย Head Coachย for the upcoming season. This is a seasonal interscholasticย coachingย position within a competitive CIF girls softball program.

We are seeking a dynamic leader who will serve as a positive role model and represent OLP with integrity, energy, and a strong commitment to developing student-athletes. The ideal candidate will bring experience, passion, and a vision for building and sustaining a competitive program while fostering growth both on and off the court.

This role requires a coach who values not only competitive success, but also emphasizes character development, teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship, aligning with the mission and values of OLP.

Essential qualities include:

  • Support and uphold the mission and values of the Academy of Our Lady of Peace
  • Strong softball coaching knowledge and experience
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and student-athlete development
  • Ability to mentor and positively influence female student-athletes

Additional Expectations:

  • Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of theย varsity softballย program
  • Develop and implement practice plans, game strategies, and skill development
  • Build relationships with student-athletes, families, and school community
  • Oversee program culture, discipline, and expectations
  • Collaborate with athletic administration on scheduling, communication, and program needs
  • Support the development of sub-varsityย levels to ensure program continuity
  • Ensure adherence to CIF, school, and athletic department policies and procedures

Requirements

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, teaching techniques, and player development
  • Demonstrated ability to build teamwork and support the development of female student-athletes
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification

Required Documents & Pre-Employment Requirements:

Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and two professional references from current or former supervisors. Candidates must also provide official transcripts, a current negative TB test result or TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire, complete required training, and successfully complete Livescan fingerprinting. Employment is contingent upon obtaining fingerprint clearance from the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
