Job description

Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is looking to expand its Caregiver family. We are hiring kind, compassionate, and dedicated CNAs and GNAs that bring their passion to work. Home Helpers Home Care has been providing exceptional comprehensive home care services for over 25 years. We are seeking an experienced CNA for PRN shift coverage to provide care for a bedridden female client (approximately 200 lbs., female preferred). This is a PRN (as-needed/shift coverage) position based on the following schedule: MondayThursday 9:00 AM7:00 PM, Friday 2:00 PM7:00 PM, and SaturdaySunday 9:00 AM7:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of CNA experience, strong dementia care experience, and the ability to provide safe, hands-on personal care. Immediate availability preferred.
Qualifications:
- Will need current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Current CNA license
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to understand care plans and assessments
- Must have current doctor's medical health clearance to work which includes a negative TB Test
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Personal Care (bathing, dressing, and transfers)
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Monitor and report physical and behavioral changes
- Assist with medication reminders
- Engage the client in conversation and activities
