Primary Responsibilities:

This entry level position works primarily in a supporting role assisting work cells by building sub-assemblies using a variety of power and hand tools.

Safety:

  • Identify and eliminate unsafe conditions in the work area
  • Recommend safety improvements within the department
  • Practices 5-S both in the work area

Productivity:

  • Demonstrates entry level mechanical/electrical skills
  • Builds sub-assemblies, small, less complicated machines or portions of larger machines using a variety of power and hand tools to fasten parts together at the proper torque values, install bushings and bearings to meet the design specifications
  • Consistently focuses on accurate labor and job card reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

Additional Responsibilities – Quality, Safety, and Housekeeping:

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and required hygiene protocols during all machining and production activities.
  • Identify and promptly report any non-conforming materials, process deviations, or product defects to the Supervisor or Quality team.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards and safety requirements.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to support a safe working environment.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to consistently follow all safety policies and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks, bend, reach, and work in close proximity to machinery as required by the role.
  • Must be able to work overtime and/or flexible shifts
