Department: Sanitation
Direct Report: Sanitation Team Lead / Sanitation Supervisor
Pay Range: Hourly, $17.00 – Full-Time
Location: Saint Paris, OH

Job Summary
The Bilingual Sanitation Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe production environment. This role provides essential labor to ensure all equipment and areas meet the company's sanitation and food safety standards. Team members will perform various tasks as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor or Team Lead.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Follow sanitation procedures and Old Souls Farms' quality standards for cleanliness and timeliness
  • Staff various sanitation roles in the production room, including spraying equipment, lifting machine parts, and cleaning/sanitizing surfaces
  • Work flexible hours during periods of high production demand
  • Stand for extended periods and work in wet and cold conditions
  • Handle equipment and cleaning tools with care; report any equipment issues immediately
  • Maintain proper hygiene and follow food safety and health/safety regulations
  • Report any signs of pests or contamination to the Supervisor, including type, location, and severity
  • Adhere to company rules, including timekeeping procedures and punctuality
  • Work in a processing environment with temperatures averaging 60°F and background noise up to 70 dB

Basic Job Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, legal migrant, or permanent resident
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Able to interpret and translate workplace communication as needed
  • Willing to work overtime or weekends when needed
  • Able to take direction, accept feedback, and communicate clearly
  • Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and move on hard surfaces for long periods
  • Repeatedly lift and carry items weighing 1–50 pounds
  • Lift up to 50 pounds from floor level
  • Perform physical tasks such as squatting, crouching, kneeling, and reaching
  • Tolerate cold environments (as low as 34°F) for extended periods

Schedule
  • 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Overtime and weekend availability as needed

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
