Yellowjacket Oilfield Services, LLC ("Yellowjacket") is a privately held oilfield services company that offers fishing & rental, wireline, thru tubing, and various oilfield services across North America and offshore. The Yellowjacket team prioritizes our employees' safety and development while providing unparalleled expertise with superior quality service to our customers. We are currently seeking a Wireline Operator to join our growing team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installs and disassembles (rig up/rig down) of wireline and pressure control equipment in accordance with original equipment manufacturer's standards including verification of applicable certifications. Assembles, secures, and disconnects equipment.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts process or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency. Tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate industry standards.
  • Performs a combination of shipping, loading, and unloading duties. Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures with full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements. Verifies and documents identity and quantity of all equipment.
  • Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots wireline truck and equipment including diagnostics, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.
  • Drives Company vehicles and equipment: wireline trucks, cranes, pickup truck, pickup truck with trailer.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to wireline explosives operations.
  • Cleans and maintains company vehicles, tools, & equipment; troubleshoots tool, equipment, and truck problems; redresses tools in the shop and in the field.
  • Provides support to crew members with operations on and off location and liaise with technicians on equipment failure.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualification Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL and acceptable MVR. CDL with Hazmat and state blaster license preferred.
  • Ability to timely obtain CDL with Hazmat Endorsement and state blaster license required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with other crews, particularly when under pressure in situations where priorities change or emergency situations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, squat, crawl and walk; may have long periods of standing or sitting.
  • Exposure to working outdoors and extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written.
  • Basic writing, math and computer skills.
  • Must have flexibility to work any schedule based on business needs and travel as job requires.  
  • Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements.
