Both roles are essential in the oil industry but differ mainly in experience requirements and specific job duties.

Do oil rigs hire people with no experience?

Oil rigs often hire individuals with no prior experience, especially for entry-level positions such as roustabouts or general laborers. However, candidates typically need physical fitness, a willingness to work long shifts, and may be required to complete safety training or certifications like Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).

How to get a job in the oil rig with no experience?

To get a job on an oil rig with no experience, candidates should focus on obtaining basic safety certifications such as OSHA or H2S, demonstrate a willingness to work in physically demanding environments, and consider applying for entry-level positions like roustabout or general laborer.
