Responsibilities

AMixing Plant Operatorisaccountableforthe safe operation of assigned mixing plant equipment. The Mixing PlantOperator will also be responsible for running mixing plant coil tubing and stick pipe drill outs anda completeunderstanding offluids and chemicals compatibilities.

  • Service andmaintain mixing plant equipment
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipmentand maintain appropriatemaintenance records
  • Safely operate pumps for the transfer of liquid
  • Maintain and recordaccurate tankfluid levels
  • Safely rig up and rig down fluid mixing plant on coil tubing unit, stick pipe drillouts or workover locations
  • Safely rig upmixing plant to reverse pumps for stick pipe units, coil tubing pump trucks
  • Mix chemicals to control downhole pressures
  • Communicate withappropriate on-sitecrewsand/or company representativeto use correct chemical quantitiesbased on well conditions
  • Safelyrig up and rig downequipment used formixing plant operations
  • Follows and supports all AWS HSE policies, procedures and best practices
  • Knows and uses appropriate PPE at all times
  • Drives company vehicles overvarious typesof road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, andoff roadsituations including two track roads
Experience / Qualifications
  • Performs other duties as assigned bysupervisor/management
  • Minimum ofone (1) yearexperiencerunning mixing plant,coil tubing and stick pipe drill outs,required
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fluid and chemical compatibilities,required
  • Prior experience working with computer based workorder system, preferred
  • Prior experience with KPA, preferred
  • Basicmath skillsproblem solving and organizational skills,required
  • Maintain valid driver’s licenseand ability to pass MVR,required
  • Class A (CDL), preferred
  • Ability to communicate, read & write in English,required
  • Able to multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Mobility, including entering confined spaces, enter areasby the use ofladders or other access device up to 15 feet
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with customers, visitors, vendors, and other employees
  • Experience working rotational shift work, working in inclement weather, and/or manual labor experience, preferred
  • Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements,required
Physical Conditions
  • Proof of eligibility to work in theUnitedStates, as required by law,required
  • Ableto stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on routine basis
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
  • Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
  • Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use ofappropriate PPE
  • This positionroutinely worksalone ona locationand cannot rely on supervision orassistancefromothers, ifpresent on site.
