JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Crude Oil Marketing Accountant, working under limited supervision, is responsible for conducting and documenting complex downstream marketing accounting tasks and projects. The role analyzes, records, and reviews accounting transactions related to downstream crude oil marketing functions, settles monthly transactions with external counterparties, and supports the business with sound recommendations. Collaborates with Marketing, Revenue Accounting, and multiple other internal and external counterparties.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting,Finance, or related discipline required;Accounting preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

5+years of related industry experience inAccounting;Marketing and Revenue experience preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Validates and actualizes crude oil marketing transactions

  • Facilitates monthly crude oil marketing settlements with external counterparties

  • Supports calculation ofintercompany pricing and eliminations

  • Identifies, diagnoses, andrecommends solutions forcomplexissuesthat enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department

  • Continues to develop abroaderunderstanding of thedownstream marketingenvironment

  • Demonstratesinitiative in seeking additional responsibility and gaining knowledge beyond core responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned
