We are looking for a Chief Commercial Officer โ€“ Oil & Gas to lead our global commercial strategy, develop strategic customer relationships, and accelerate the adoption of Origen.aiโ€™s solutions across the oil and gas industry.

The Role

This is a senior executive leadership position with responsibility for defining and executing Origen.aiโ€™s commercial strategy within the global oil and gas market.

You will lead the full commercial function, from market development and enterprise sales to strategic partnerships, contract negotiation, account growth, and commercial team building.

You will work closely with the CEO, product, engineering, technology, and customer success teams to translate complex AI capabilities into clear, measurable, and compelling business value for customers.

What You Will Do
  • Define and execute Origen.aiโ€™s global commercial strategy for the oil and gas industry.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of enterprise opportunities.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and contract signature.
  • Develop relationships with senior decisionโ€‘makers across operators, national oil companies, international oil companies, and oilfield service providers.
  • Engage with leaders across subsurface, reservoir engineering, production, field development, innovation, digital transformation, and technology.
  • Create commercial proposals, business cases, financial models, and executive presentations.
  • Lead negotiations for pilots, software licences, enterprise agreements, and multiโ€‘year contracts.
  • Coordinate proofs of concept and commercial pilots with technical and product teams.
  • Grow existing accounts through renewals, upselling, crossโ€‘selling, and strategic expansion.
  • Develop partnerships with technology providers, consultancies, oilfield service companies, and industry organisations.
  • Represent Origen.ai at oil and gas conferences, industry events, and executive meetings.
  • Build scalable commercial processes, reporting systems, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead the future commercial organisation.
  • Provide regular commercial updates, forecasts, risks, and opportunities to the CEO and board.

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or commercial leadership.
  • Strong experience in oil and gas, industrial software, subsurface technology, or digital solutions for the industry.
  • Proven success in closing complex, highโ€‘value enterprise agreements.
  • A strong network across operators, national oil companies, international oil companies, or oilfield service providers.
  • Experience engaging with both technical stakeholders and Cโ€‘level executives.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles and procurement processes within the oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • A highly commercial, proactive, and resultsโ€‘driven mindset.
  • Experience building commercial teams, processes, and goโ€‘toโ€‘market strategies.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fastโ€‘growing and international technology company.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
