Job description

EOR Field Deployment Supervisor

Location: Denver, CO (up to 50% travel to field locations and supplier facilities)
Compensation: $50–$55 per hour + Performance Bonus

About ZL Chemicals Ltd.

ZL Chemicals Ltd. is a rapidly growing international chemical manufacturing company specializing in advanced polymer technologies for the oil and gas industry. We deliver innovative Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) solutions to customers across Canada, the United States, and the Gulf region.

Our success is built on technical excellence, innovation, safety, and operational execution. We are committed to developing high-performance technologies while providing our employees with opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

The EOR Field Deployment Supervisor is responsible for leading the field execution of ZL Chemicals' Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) chemical technologies at active wellsites. Acting as the Company's primary onsite representative, this individual will oversee all aspects of deployment, including chemical injection, pressure pumping, flowback operations, equipment mobilization, subcontractor coordination, and operational logistics.

This is a highly hands-on position for an experienced oilfield professional who thrives in dynamic field environments and takes ownership of operational success while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as ZL Chemicals' primary onsite representative during EOR technology deployments.
  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day field operations involving chemical injection, pressure pumping, stimulation, flowback, and production activities.
  • Direct multiple subcontractors, including pressure pumping crews, trucking companies, chemical suppliers, equipment rental providers, and field service contractors.
  • Coordinate operational execution with operators, company representatives, production teams, and field supervisors.
  • Oversee all phases of wellsite operations, including equipment mobilization, rig-up, pressure testing, chemical loading, pumping operations, flowback, and demobilization.
  • Ensure the safe handling, storage, transfer, and deployment of oilfield chemicals, including ISO tanks, bulk liquid transfers, and chemical injection systems.
  • Monitor pumping operations, injection rates, pressures, flowback performance, and chemical effectiveness during live field operations.
  • Coordinate equipment logistics, trucking schedules, fuel supply, personnel movement, and material deliveries to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges, including equipment failures, changing well conditions, weather impacts, scheduling conflicts, and chemical performance issues.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Lead pre-job meetings, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), toolbox talks, and operational coordination meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Company HSE standards, customer site requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce safe work practices, including pressure safety, chemical handling, spill prevention, line-of-fire awareness, lockout/tagout procedures, and Stop Work Authority.
  • Prepare daily operational reports, chemical usage records, field documentation, incident reports, and job summaries.
  • Support troubleshooting of flowback challenges, including foaming, emulsions, solids management, chemical compatibility, and separator performance.
  • Work extended hours at remote wellsite locations when required to support continuous operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of oilfield field operations experience.
  • Proven experience supervising or coordinating wellsite operations.
  • Hands-on experience with pressure pumping, chemical services, stimulation, EOR, or production operations.
  • Strong knowledge of pressure pumping equipment, treating iron, manifolds, valves, separators, frac tanks, and chemical injection systems.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors in active wellsite environments.
  • Strong understanding of wellsite operational workflows from mobilization through demobilization.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot operational issues in fast-paced field environments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and work extended schedules when operationally required.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects, polymer flooding, surfactant injection, or other chemical treatment technologies is considered a strong asset.

Important Candidate Requirement

This position requires genuine, hands-on oilfield field operations experience.

Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily in EPC, civil construction, infrastructure projects, office-based engineering, or project management without direct wellsite operational execution experience will not be considered.

Key Competencies

  • Hands-on leadership and execution
  • Strong operational decision-making
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability
  • Adaptability in rapidly changing field environments
  • Ownership and accountability
  • Effective communication with customers and field personnel
  • Strong safety leadership
  • High learning agility and continuous improvement mindset

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly compensation ($50–$55/hour)
  • Performance-based bonus tied to operational success
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with Company matching
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Company-paid travel and field expenses
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities
  • Opportunity to play a key role in deploying innovative EOR technology across North America

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is ideal for:

  • Field Engineers with pressure pumping or chemical services experience.
  • Operations Supervisors from stimulation, production, or EOR service companies.
  • Experienced oilfield professionals who enjoy solving complex operational challenges in the field.
  • Individuals who want to help commercialize innovative technology and play a direct role in building new operational capabilities—not simply maintaining existing processes.

We thank all applicants for their interest in ZL Chemicals Ltd. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
