About The Role

We are currently recruiting for qualified and experienced Quality Control CWB Level 2 Inspectors and CWB Level 1 Inspectors to join our team on night shift at Kearl Oil Sands. This is a fly in /fly out role with flights provided from either Edmonton or Calgary.

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Preparation and implementation of multi-discipline ITPs 
  • Quality oversight of civil, structural, mechanical & piping disciplines
  • Validation of work associated with the multi-discipline Construction Work Packages
  • Reviewing of Subcontractors quality documentation and provide approval
  • Material receiving inspection and verification
  • Maintaining welder qualification record
  • Monitoring welding and carrying out final weld visual inspection
  • Coordinate, monitor and review NDT and reporting
  • Verifying all NDT completion releasing the piping for hydro test
  • Final piping reinstatement inspection and witnessing applicable bolt torque
  • Experience with weld mapping, redlines and as-built drawings
  • Generate and maintain quality logs, and RFC/RFI inquiries 
  • Hydrotest package review and test witnessing
  • Prepare inspection walkdown notification and close out punchlist items.
  • Turnover binder progressive development, review and completion
  • Client, vendor, and company quality interfacing, reporting and maintaining relationships

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive experience on industrial projects as a CWB Level 2 
  • Industrial trade credential is an asset
  • Knowledge of ASME, CSA, and API codes related to welding and pressure piping
  • Civil, structural, mechanical & piping experience is an advantage
  • Ability to conduct field inspections and complete quality documentation
  • Proficiency using Bluebeam, Google Suite and MS Office applications 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test 
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
