SECURITY GUARD/ QUICK RESPONDER TEAM - FULL TIME  

 Location: CALGARY

We are seeking Quick Responder Security Guard for the Calgary area 

Position Requirements

  • Unrestricted driver's license - must be valid and in good standing
  • Valid security guard license 
  • Reliable vehicle - suitable for travel between sites
  • Open availability - including days, evening, overnights, weekends, and holidays
  • Minimum 1 year of security experience (preferred) 
  • Pay rate: $20.00 per hour

 RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Respond to calls at short notice, to cover open shifts as required. 
  • Observes and reports all activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring the security and safety of property, assets, and personnel. 
  • Conducts periodic patrols to identify irregularities and inspect security systems, protection devices and fire control equipment. 
  • Maintain order and enforces site regulations, directives and procedures related to personnel, visitors, and premises. 
  • Controls of access to client site or facility through the admittance procedures
  • Patrols assigned areas on foot or in vehicles, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security breaches, blocked exits, mechanical issues, and unauthorized individuals
  • Provides excellent customer service while ensuring the protection of client property, assets and personnel
  • Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video surveillance software. 
  • Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete documentation, and participate in required training
  • Protect evidence and secures incident scenes during accidents, emergencies, or security investigations. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Must have valid provincial Security Guard License 
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification 
  • Must have unrestricted driver's license 
  • Must have a reliable vehicle  
  • Ability to accept shifts on short notice 
  • Full 24/7 working availability 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills 
  • Minimum 1 year of security experience (preferred) 
  • Working knowledge of security operations and procedures 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Ability to write clear reports, logs, and routine correspondence 
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office. 
  • Able to walk, stand, and conduct regular patrols
