Job description

Customer Order Processor

This position is responsible for the processing and follow up of US and Canada customer orders. The position requires extensive follow-through with customers, sales, production and logistics to ensure timely delivery and accurate billing of customer orders. Hybrid role Monday - Wednesday onsite required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain direct responsibility for designated accounts, from order receipt through shipment to customer to invoicing
  • Accurate and timely entry of customer orders
  • Handle daily service and order activities.
  • Work closely with plant schedulers and transportation group to securing on-time deliveries
  • Play critical role in developing customer relationships and resolving customer issues
  • Provide backup to team members
  • Maintain master file information
  • Invoice orders and complete month-end closing transactions
  • Entry of credits, debits, and sample order requests
  • Recording and reporting on ongoing issues
Qualifications

Education:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Previous customer/sales service experience recommended

Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with SAP, JDE or similar ERP environment desirable.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently with multiple interruptions
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Basic level of Microsoft 365 suite and internet skills
