Job Description Citrus Products Supervisor - Winter Haven, FLSummary/ObjectiveThe Citrus Products Supervisor will provide the department with daily support, guidance and leadership in the achievement of KPIs which further support the business goals and objectives.. Essential FunctionsEnsure the team performs their essential tasks in a manner which complies with all ADM and site safety requirements.Provide training and guidance to the team to further develop formulation skillsDevelop team specialists to foster deeper formulation knowledge i.e. by cultivarAssign formulations task to team ensuring workload balance.Setting clear team goals with established deadlines.Process focused improvements using PE (using Std work, R&R, KPI's, etc)Ensuring dept is adequately staffedProvide department updates to management including accomplishments, concerns, delays, service concerns and failures.Monitor formulation/proto status with team and assist with formulation guidance.Work closely with logistics lead to provide support of work order status for pending orders.Work with production planner for products to stock and assign accordingly to the team.In partnership with other departments (i.e. R&D) work on establishing a standard portfolioServe as counterpart to Aufsess portfolio team as well as contact person for flavor creation teamsOversee Issuing and management of detailed spreadsheets/reports relating to sales orders as well as work orders.Oversee day to day department procedures, including but not limited to, sample request fulfillment, prototype completion, work order flow.Host production morning meeting, when needed.Identify products needing to have spec review, work with team to create specs and review with manager prior to sending to broader team for final approval.Work with production planner on raw materials or distillation needed for stocked products and or open sales orders.Internal involvement with high priority customers to ensure seamless movement through planning ulations.Together with inventory management, evaluate current inventory to assist with product development, production scheduling, and maintaining inventory volumes.Create matches for customers based on specific parameters including physical specifications and organoleptic descriptions.Formulate, when needed, prototypes and perform testing on derivatives of citrus oil to confirm continuity and viability of different productsWork closely with the manufacturing team to maximize efficiency and accuracy in blending and provide clear instructions and practical timelines to facilitate order fulfillment and shipment based on customer demand.Establish solid relationships with the sales team to ensure compatibility with client expectations of quality and service.Exhibit excellent time management skills while working from a task list as well as taking on other projects as assigned.Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples via gas chromatography (GC) and bench testing according to established SOP'sFollow all Lab and Site safety and GMP rules. Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner and complete all paperwork correctly.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a laboratory environment.Physical DemandsThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds.
