Job description

What You Can Expect In This Role
Responsible for achieving annuity sales goals with key Outsourced Insurance Desk (OID) partners for Midland Advisory. Responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with key OID partners and new OIDs.
What You'll Do In This Role
• Maintain production levels for existing OID partners; OID sales growth targets shall be established annually.
• Build relationships with key distributors; attend OID events sponsored by key partners; demonstrate comfort and confidence in making presentations to groups of producers, becoming a trusted advisor agencies, and in general, adding value to our key distributors.
• Deliver presentations to educate OIDs (including marketers) within assigned geographic territory by becoming knowledgeable about the products, sales materials, support services, market conduct, and sales practices.
• Understand and communicate all of the Company's annuity products and features and recommend additional products, services, or changes that will positively affect our results.
• Demonstrate strong ability to articulate the Company's strategy and tell a compelling story about its strengths, culture, values, products, and services to drive sales growth and deeper distributor relationships.
• Conduct WebEx sessions within assigned territory, and on a national basis, in order to promote North American annuity products, programs, and incentives. Act as a liaison between our OID partners and home office personnel.
• Ensure OIDs receive appropriate communications regarding company rates, promotions, changes, policies, and procedures.
• Actively pursue opportunities to collaborate with other home office employees, and where necessary, work across all business lines for the best results for Sammons Financial Group Companies as a whole.
• Take corrective action to remedy sales practices that are detrimental to the client or the Company; these actions may include the following: additional training of the distributor or producer, directives to the producer to stop detrimental sales practices, and termination of producers.
• Support expense management by completing accurate travel expense reports in a timely manner.
• Attend home office and industry training meetings.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent business experience Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' in annuity sales with a demonstrated successful track record Preferred
  • Demonstrated strong ability to articulate the Company's strategy and tell a compelling story about its strengths, culture, values, and our drive to succeed
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated positive, professional image and conduct, which adheres to the Company's core values including, but not limited to, professional dress, language, and conduct involving interaction with employees, partner agencies, and prospects
  • Demonstrated exceptional working knowledge of annuity products
  • Must be able to travel 50-75% of the time

• Criminal background check required.
• If the position is in the SIG business unit, Annuity New Business Securities team, or if we are holding securities licenses, FINRA regulations require fingerprinting for this position; if we are holding securities licenses, a credit check will also be required. Management reserves the right to determine and approve incumbent suitability for this position.
