They inspect welds for quality, review welding procedures, and verify compliance with codes like AWS, ASME, and ISO. These professionals work closely with engineers and welding teams to detect defects, oversee repairs, and maintain structural integrity in harsh marine environments. Their role is critical in preventing failures that could lead to safety hazards or environmental damage.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an offshore welding inspector?

To thrive as an Offshore Welding Inspector, you need comprehensive knowledge of welding processes, materials inspection, and quality assurance, typically backed by certifications such as CSWIP or AWS and experience in marine or offshore environments.
