Sr. Hydrographic Surveyor
Location: Houston, TX (On-site)
Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000

Overview:
This role involves leading a team of surveyors to collect and analyze underwater data for marine construction and navigation projects. The primary focus is on ensuring safe navigation and supporting offshore energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning & Strategy: Conduct pre-survey planning meetings and plan operations based on vessel capabilities.

  • Technical Execution: Utilize specialized equipment (multi-beam echo sounders, GPS) to collect accurate data and provide technical advice to clients.

  • Supervision & Safety: Oversee survey operations, enforce safe working practices, and ensure compliance with contract requirements and regulations.

  • Reporting & Communication: Compile concise operational reports and effectively communicate with vessel management and clients.

  • Management: Maintain stock control, ensure team harmony, and develop emergency procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work an on-call schedule (after hours/weekends).
