Proficiency with industry-specific tools and systems, such as drilling equipment, SCADA systems, or marine navigation software, is typically required, along with certifications like BOSIET or HUET. What is an Offshore Rotation job?

An Offshore Rotation job involves working on offshore rigs, ships, or platforms for a set period, followed by scheduled time off. Common rotation schedules include 14/14, 28/28, or similar variations, meaning workers spend a specific number of days on-site and then have the same number of days off. These jobs are common in industries like oil and gas, marine, and renewable energy. Workers typically handle demanding tasks in remote locations, with accommodations, meals, and transport provided by the employer.

What is a typical work schedule like for an Offshore Rotation job?

Offshore Rotation jobs usually follow a set schedule such as 14 days on/14 days off or 21 days on/21 days off, meaning you work a consecutive number of days offshore, followed by an equal period of rest onshore. While on rotation, employees often work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, due to the continuous nature of offshore operations. Teams live and work together in close quarters, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie and collaboration. This schedule allows for extended time at home between rotations, but it also requires adaptability and resilience to manage the physical and mental demands of life offshore.
