Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly experiencedSenior Construction Managerto lead complex heavy civil construction projects with a strong preference for candidates who have deep expertise inmarine construction, offshore platforms, and/or dam projects.

This role is basedonsite in Las Vegas, Nevadaand requires a proven leader who can manage large-scale construction operations, oversee multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all quality and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate brings extensive field leadership experience in technically challenging environments, including major structural, geotechnical, hydraulic, marine, or water infrastructure projects. This individual will serve as a key partner to project leadership, engineering teams, contractors, and clients throughout all phases of construction execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite construction management activities for large, complex infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee all phases of construction execution, including planning, scheduling, safety, quality, subcontractor coordination, cost control, and field reporting.
  • Manage construction teams, inspectors, superintendents, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Provide leadership on projects involvingmarine works, offshore structures, dams, water control systems, heavy civil infrastructure, or similarly complex construction environments.
  • Monitor contractor performance for compliance with contract documents, technical specifications, project schedules, and safety requirements.
  • Identify construction risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays, cost overruns, and field conflicts.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, environmental, safety, procurement, and client stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Review and validate construction schedules, work plans, method statements, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local codes.
  • Lead site meetings, progress reviews, and reporting efforts for internal leadership and client teams.
  • Support claims avoidance and dispute resolution through strong documentation, contract administration, and field oversight.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and construction excellence across the project site.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree inConstruction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
    • An equivalent combination of education and significant relevant experience may be considered.
  • $15+ years of progressive construction management experience on large, complex infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
  • Significant experience managing projects in one or more of the following areas:
    • Marine construction
    • Offshore platform construction
    • Dam construction or rehabilitation
    • Heavy civil or water infrastructure
  • Demonstrated success leading onsite construction execution for high-risk, technically complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, contract administration, scheduling, cost controls, and quality management.
  • Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary field teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety programs and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction contracts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to workfull-time onsite in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer license, CCM, PMP, or other relevant construction/project management certification.
  • Experience withUSACE, federal infrastructure projects, or large public-sector programs.
  • Background in concrete structures, hydraulic systems, cofferdams, marine foundations, structural steel, or geotechnical works.
  • Experience with environmental compliance and permitting on water-related or heavy civil projects.
  • Proven experience with schedule recovery, claims mitigation, and complex stakeholder coordination.
  • OSHA 30 or other advanced safety training.
