Sr Java Developer/ Java Architect

Key Skills: Java, REST based front end, Web services, Business layer area using custom Java design patterns, Application Server

Must have:  5-10 years of overall experience in Designing and developing multi-tiered JAVA EE application.

Mandatory Skills:

Ability to architect and design n-tiered Java based Web-based application
Hands-on experience converting functional requirements into technical design to be implemented by the development team, providing technical guidance to the team during implementation and keeping track of the deliverables.
Must have the experience in different areas of the solutions to complex business problems, i.e.,HTML5 and REST based front end, Webservices, Oracle, SQL server or similar databases, JSP, Business layer area using custom Java design patterns or adopting industry standard frameworks, Application server like IBM WAS, Jboss or Tomcat.
Very Good understanding of the software delivery processes.
Experience in Media, Communication, MSO Industry is an added advantage.
Experience in development best practices like TDD, Continuous integration, Code quality metrics etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communications with the development team as well as the key stakeholders of the project.
Proven creative problem solver with ability to work in a hyper-changing environment
Preferred Skills* 
Experience with video delivery and video devices like STBs, Edge devices, streamers etc. 
Experience in Agile project execution.
Experience working with multi-shore teams is a plus - Experience in leading an onsite-offshore and mixed team responsible for developing and deploying a multi-tiered Java application.
Experience working at onsite, directly at a client location with client teams.
Job Roles/Responsibilities* 
Work with the Systems Architect, client project managers and sponsors to understand the requirements and priorities. 
Architect the technical solution from the High Level functional requirements.
Implement the development best practices to deliver a high quality code.
Work with the developers to get the solution implemented.
Hand-hold the developers and guide them, as and when required.
