Job description

The Assistant Facility Security Officer will assist the Facility Security Officer as needed with maintaining personnel security clearances and other security responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate with candidates to complete pre-screening interviews
  • Initiate personnel security clearance investigations and track to completion
  • Track and maintain security training to ensure compliance
  • Utilize various computer databases and spreadsheets essential to the personnel security clearance process
  • Conduct self-inspections to ensure security compliance
  • Receive, prepare, and submit reports
  • Collect and prepare data analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Obtain and maintain a valid personnel security clearance
  • High level of computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use various databases and spreadsheets
  • Effective planning and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently
