Job description

Excell Homes, a family-owned custom home builder serving the Pocono region, is looking for a dependable and highly organized Construction Office Assistant to work directly with our Director of Operations.


This is a great opportunity for someone interested in construction, business administration, bookkeeping, real estate or project management who would like hands-on experience with the day-to-day operations of a custom home building company.


What You'll Help With

  • Organizing invoices, receipts, estimates and project paperwork
  • Entering and maintaining project information and spreadsheets
  • Running routine reports in QuickBooks for management review
  • Assisting with tracking costs for homes under construction
  • Preparing vendor and material orders for management approval
  • Assisting with kitchen, cabinetry, vanity and material orders
  • Calling and emailing vendors to obtain pricing and order updates
  • Tracking deliveries, backorders and outstanding materials
  • Maintaining organized digital and physical job files
  • Updating project and cost-tracking spreadsheets
  • Following up on outstanding invoices, paperwork and vendor information
  • Scanning, filing and organizing documents
  • Assisting with general office responsibilities and special projects
  • Helping keep management informed of items that require follow-up or attention

Pay: $12.00/hour

Schedule: Part-time; schedule can be discussed based on availability
